Do I need electric toothbrush?

I recently came across a Really good looking YouTuber endorsing an Electric toothbrush to whiten his already pearly white teeth...
Anyone would consider buying that Automatic toothbrush depicting white nicely aligned teeth, isn't it?
We humans always love technology Be it asking Alexa to play our favorite song to making round chapatis ..We need technology everywhere !!

Your manual tooth brushing isn't enough for you?
Anyway, the question is Do you really need an Electric Toothbrush to do the work better?
Nowadays there are various kinds of electric toothbrushes which are introduced in an Indian market from Oral B to Colgate etc which range from Rs.400 to Rs.6500.
I love how they are available with various themes for kids which would definitely make toothbrushing more interesting and fun for them.

Talking about Electric Toothbrushes also called Powered or automatic toothbrushes they were basically invented for people with limited mobility such as children with physical or mental impairments, adults with disabilities or limited dexterity, and institutionalized residents that have a caregiver provide their oral hygiene.

After doing much of the research, I found out that there are few common features that are provided with these powered toothbrushes.such as :

1) Multiple cleaning modes (ORP technology)
Oscillating, Rotating, Pulsating (ORP) technology promises thorough cleaning of your teeth.

2) Two-minutes timer
You don't have to worry about your kids brushing for a lesser time period because it has got 2 minutes timer which is stipulated time for brushing your teeth.

3) Qaudpacer
your toothbrush now going to remind you when it's time to move on to the next side of your mouth unless you are really not that sleepy in the morning to know it's enough brushing left side.
4) Pressure sensor
Mostly patient has the habit of overzealous brushing .considering they are going to take away all the decay or plaque leading to eroded tooth surfaces.
The pressure sensors on these electric toothbrushes will remind you to gentle on your teeth.

Undoubtedly, Brushing your teeth with these electric toothbrushes of course going to make your life easier. But there's no option for flossing which is also necessary.

Spending a few extra bucks on Automatic toothbrushes isn't really necessary but it's your choice.
Brushing with manual toothbrush can be equally effective and may be better than a powered toothbrush if done correctly. You can always ask your Dentist for the proper method of brushing for you and your kids.
